I’m Ellie, a photographer with a degree in Marine and Natural History Photography. I grew up in the UK and am currently based in Gibraltar for the next two years. I began my working life in the military, following my family vocation, I became a medic. I soon realised that it was animals I wanted to help. Following this realisation, I developed an interest in Animal Photojournalism. My photography combines documentary style images with creative techniques, producing unique work.

My ongoing project is documenting animal welfare in Spain; I am currently photographing a zoo in southern Spain with poor animal care standards. I want this body of work to uncover what life is like for these animals. The images I create combine motion and context to tell a truthful story, challenging what is considered traditional documentary photography.
